Primordial Waters (Nun)
Nun is the boundless, unformed potentiality from which all creation arises — the primordial waters that precede light, land, and the naming of things. In the cosmology of Kemet, Nun is not chaos but pregnant stillness; the fertile depth in which the first mound emerges, upon which life, order, and consciousness take form in accordance with Ma’at.
From Nun, the first horizon opens. The hidden seed of creation stirs, the benben rises, and the divine word prepares to sound. This mystery teaches that before every genesis there is a holy silence; before every form, a formless plenitude. To contemplate Nun is to remember the source within, the infinite well from which the soul draws life, renewal, and sacred possibility.
For the seeker, Nun is a practice of return — a resting in the deep that cleanses thought, speech, and intention, so that what arises is pure, measured, and aligned with the eternal order.
